Extensive copy protection and license management toolset for software gains new license distribution method and cross-platform web portal for delivery and support of iLok based software licenses
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – October 9, 2009 – PACE Anti-Piracy Inc., a leader in the development and licensing of anti-piracy systems for software publishers, announces updates to PACE Central, the web portal that allows software developers to securely create, distribute and support software licenses. With the portal and associated tools, software developers can create a virtual inventory of highly flexible software licenses that can be distributed in exciting new ways. The new features are being demonstrated to PACE customers during the 127th AES Convention at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY by Andrew Kirk, PACE Anti-Piracy’s VP of Business Development.
“PACE Central is the developer side of iLok.com,” explained Andrew, “and feedback from our customers has led to our latest features including the ability to make deposits to multiple iLok.com user accounts simultaneously. This release also includes updates to the user interface and PACE Central’s help resources.”
PACE Central is a web portal with an online tool set to allow software developers to easily create and distribute software licenses to their customers, and also to support their customers with robust search and reporting capabilities. Because PACE Central is web-based, it is accessible to InterLok users on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, allowing them to both distribute and support software licenses 24/7, worldwide. PACE Central also allows software developers to create and distribute licenses using a virtual inventory of our new PACE License Codes.
PACE License Codes are a powerful new way to distribute software licenses, and all existing license types including Demo, Trial, Full License, Timed License, Rental, NFR (Not For Resale), and Update are supported. PACE Central allows software developers to create batches of License Codes to either sell or to distribute to the various distributors, dealers, and channels that they sell to. Once distributed, License Codes can be tracked based on several factors and each License Code can also be associated with up to 4 pieces of unique developer-defined data tags. Advanced reporting and tracking features allow developers to gauge the effectiveness of their sales and marketing strategies and to tie each License Code to records in their own database.
